88, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna (Manzi) Stephenson. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late George H. and Bertha R. (Dragon) Stephenson. He was a machinist-tool maker for the former United Wire Company of Cranston for thirty-five years before retiring in 1980. Tom was also employed by the former St. James Hardware and was the "Mr. fix it" to everyone. He was a life member of the Providence Lodge of Elks. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening, yard work, and his family.
He is survived by his loving children, Roger L. Stephenson of Hollywood, FL and Kim A. MacIntosh of Cranston. Tom was the cherished grandfather of Michael and Stephen MacIntosh, both of Warwick, Robert Stephenson of Portland, OR, and Sarah Stephenson of San Diego, CA. He was the brother of the late James, Albert, Warren, Charles, Arthur Stephenson, and Lillian McCarthy.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday morning 9:00-10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
