THOMAS A. MACARI

THOMAS A. MACARI, 80, of Plainfield Pike, Johnston, formerly of Cranston, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre in Cranston. He was the beloved husband of the late Lidia (Pazienza) Macari. Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Antonio and Rosa (Rega) Macari.

Mr. Macari was a foreman for M.A. Gamino Construction Co. in Cranston for many years and later he was the owner and operator of Cozy Corner Restaurant in Johnston for 10 years retiring in 1993. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Macari was the devoted father of Ralph S. Macari and his wife Lori Ann of North Providence and Jeffrey T. Macari and his wife Mary of Cranston; loving grandfather of five; and dear brother of James Macari of Warwick, Anthony Macari of Cranston, Rocco Macari of Johnston, Bessie DiSuma of Greenville, Gina Apici of TN and the late Angelo, Pasco, John and Alfred Macari.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday, April 13th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew's Church, 1291 Elmwood Ave., Cranston at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.

VISITING HOURS MONDAY 5-8 p.m.
