79, of Wildflower Drive, Cranston, for 50 years passed away on Thursday October 27, 2011. He was the husband of his loving wife and best friend, Lorraine (Apice) for 54 years. Thomas and Lorraine loved to travel, and during their retirement years took several amazing trips. Born in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Marie (Hickman) Tarsio and the late Derward Luzier. He was a Veteran of the US Navy serving from 1949 to 1953 in the Korean War. After his service years, he worked in Insurance Claims for 42 years, holding positions as Manager and Supervisor in the Rhode Island offices of several insurance companies. Thomas was also a Founding Member of Holy Apostles Church in Cranston. His affable personality was enjoyed by all who knew him. Besides his wife, he is survived by his cherished children, Dennis M. Luzier and his wife Liz and Denise M. Tomaselli. He was "Gramps" and the best "Fixer" in the world to his six wonderful grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole, Jason, James, Christopher and Jessica. Thomas was the brother of Charles Luzier, Lois Luzier, Rose Mooney and the late Darrel Luzier. He also leaves his sister-in-law Rose Luzier and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Church, Cranston at 11am. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS Sunday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Holy Apostles Memorial Society 800 Pippin Orchard Road Cranston, RI 02921.
