Thomas F.J. Harrington

73, of Garland Ave., Cranston, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce (Kirkwood) Gregory. Born in Providence he was the son of the late William and Mary M. (Gregory) Harrington.

Mr. Harrington was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years retiring in 1991, and was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. He was an avid camper, fisherman and member of The Rhody Rovers.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Kim Jillson and her husband Lawrence of Cranston, Mary Stone of Cranston, Thomas P. Harrington and his fiance Kate Schroder of Warwick and the late Thomas F. Harrington; loving grandfather of Justin, Ariana, Alexa, Jordan and the late Zachary and Adam Stone; dear brother of John J. Harrington of Riverside and the late William Harrington. He was the former husband of Joanne Bergantino of Cranston.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence. VISITING HOURS WEDNESDAY 4-8 p.m.
