97, of Greenwich Ave. West Warwick, former owner and operator of JB Foley Printing Co in Providence for over 40 years, died in his home early Thursday morning. He was the husband of the late Adele (Narducci) Giammatteo. They previously lived in Cranston for nearly 40 years.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter and Antonetta (D'Adamo) Giammatteo, and one of 10 children. Tom began working at JB Foley Printing, a family owned business, after graduating from what was Cranston High School in1932 and became proprietor in 1960 until his retirement in 1981.He was also an instructor and volunteer at the Olneyville Boys Club during the 1960's
Besides his daughter, Judy Clark of Boynton Beach, Florida and his son Thomas P. Giammatteo of West Warwick he leaves two sisters, Mary Verri of Warwick and Paula Barclay of Narragansett.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 in St. Gregory the Great Church 360 Cowesett Road Warwick, followed by Entombment in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston
