THOMAS A. COTTER, JR

86, of Johnston, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice In-Patient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Mildred (Bienkowski) Cotter. Thomas was born in Providence, a son of the late Thomas A. Cotter, Sr. and Emily (Frederick) Cotter.
Mr. Cotter was a collector at the Providence Water Supply Board and a security guard at Providence College for many years until his retirement; and also served in the Merchant Marines.
He is survived by his loving children, Thomas A. Cotter and his companion Fran Medeiros of North Providence, Nancy Camara and her husband Arthur of Tiverton, his cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Sousa, Brian Cotter, Sarah Crisafulli, Seth Yukna and his great grandchildren, Hannah and Kaylee. He was also the beloved uncle of Mary Dean and Michael Redinger; and was the brother of the late Ruth Tremblay, Veronica Hartman, Joan Redinger and Norman Cotter.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service to be held on Thursday at 11 am in the NARDOLILLO FUENRAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will be private.
