Thomas M. Battey

78, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of Kathryn W. (Chapman) Battey.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph R. and Helen M. (Fogarty) Battey.

He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He worked for General Dynamics Electric Boat for thirty-six years before retiring. Tom was an avid golfer.

Besides his wife, he leaves three children, Brent D. Battey, Michael C. Battey and Elizabeth W. Battey; a brother, Mark Battey; a sister, Joan Ainscough; and two nieces and five nephews.  He was the brother of the late J. Robert Battey.

A committal service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 11am in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather in the Administration Parking Lot at 10:45am.  VISITING HOURS Tuesday from 4-6pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
