84, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John Pecchia. Born in Nordlingen, Bavaria, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Monika (Loesch) Leitner. Mrs. Pecchia worked for the Cranston School Department and was a Librarian at the Hugh B. Bain Junior High School for many years before retiring. She is survived by her loving son, Robert Pecchia and his wife Lorraine and her cherished grandsons Brian and John, all of Saco, ME. She was the sister of Alfred Leitner of Nordlingen, Germany and the late Sebastian Leitner; and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her years at Hugh B. Bain Junior High School were some of the best years of her life. She loved her grandchildren Brian and John so very much. She enjoyed many years working in her yard and treasured being able to see it in full bloom this spring. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 17th at 10 a.m. in The Church of St. Mark, 15 Garden Court, Cranston. Interment will be private.
