THERESA PYNE (VENTO)
THERESA (VENTO) PYNE, 91, of New Hampshire St., Cranston, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre in Cranston. She was the wife of the late John Pyne.
Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late William and Philomena (D'Antuono) Vento.
Theresa was manager of the former Weintraubs in Warwick for 25 years, before retiring. She was also a seamstress and worked at the former Bette Rand Co. and Sachs Co., both in Providence. She was a member of the Cranston Senior Center.
She was the mother of Charlotte Skidds of Charlestown; godmother of Lenora Grande and Jean Golini, both of Cranston; sister of Vilma Vento and Helen Tessitore, both of Johnston, and Joseph and Vincent Vento, both of Florida; and grandmother of three.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew's Church, Laurel Hill Ave., Providence at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
