Theresa P. (Iacona) Abatiello

89 years old, of Bradenton, Florida and Coventry, Rhode Island passed away on March 16, 2023. Born in Providence, RI to the late John and Antonetta Iacona, she graduated from St. Xavier High School and worked for the Rhode Island Social Security and Unemployment Offices until retirement. Theresa was the devoted wife of George Studley who preceded her in death in 1966 and the late Americo Abatiello who predeceased her in 2022.

Enjoying family gatherings, she loved making her Italian wedding soup as well as making Easter rice pies for everyone. Also Theresa relished activities from sewing to going on family camping trips then later on motorcycle excursions with her husband Americo. As the nucleus of the family, she will be remembered for her generous spirit and kind-hearted attitude towards anyone who needed help.

She is survived by her sister Celeste M. Ripanti and her brother John A. Iacona. Her brothers Michael A. and Joseph A. Iacona predeceased her as well as her stepson Ricky Abatiello and her grandson Jeremy Gadoury. She leaves behind her children Robert Studley, Charlene Mailhot and her husband Michael, George Studley, Mark Studley and his wife Ellen, Terry Ann Gadoury, Brian Abatiello and his wife Janice, Karen A. Dumont, and Michael Abatiello and his wife Debbie. Finally, she leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday, March 27th at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Monday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
