Thean Somchow Lakeaddorn

Thean Somchow Lakeaddorn, 62, of Providence, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Monday, August 2, 2021.  Raised in Thailand, Thean was the beloved daughter of the late Nikorn Laaiaddon and Fhoy La-iaddon. Thean was the devoted wife of 46 years to Bun Klang Choy.

Thean was known as “Chow” by her friends, but best known as “Yey Yey” by her family.  Yey Yey’s happiest moments were spent with her family, friends, tending to her garden, as well as watching her Thai Dramas.  She was known as the symbol of strength and love to her family.

In addition to her husband, Yey Yey is survived by her four children Sopha Choy-Dionson, Vatsana Choy-Afonso and her husband Jacques Afonso, Prasert Choy and Chhaiya Choy. She is the devoted grandmother of Chelsea, Katherine, Xavian, Chloe, Romeo, and Liam.  She was the loving sister of Mr. Fang Laaiaddon, Mr. Somchai Laaiaddon, Mrs. Rai Laaiaddon, Mr. Narathon Laaiadon, and Miss Khanittha Laaiaddon. She was predeceased by her sister Vanna Leaddan.

A Buddhist Prayer service will be held on Saturday August 7, 2021 at 8:00 am at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI 02910. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.
