90, of Providence, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 surrounded by her loving family by her side, at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Pitocco. Linda was born in Caserta, Italy, a daughter of the late Alderigio and Carmela (Cinotti) Liberatore. Mrs. Pitocco was employed as a sewing machine operator at Brite Manufacturing for 25 years. She also was a cook for the Diocese of Providence, where she prepared meals for several churches in the Diocese. Linda was also the 1st President of the Santa Maria di Prata Society Woman's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her loving children, Maria Pitocco of Providence, Mario Pitocco of North Providence, and stepchildren John , Gloria and the late Albert Pitocco. She was also the sister of Mario Liberatore and Alba Fucile both of Italy, the late Adelina LaBanca and Giampolo Liberatore. She also leaves behind her many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and her loving pet dog Bello.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Bartholomew's Church, Laurel Hill Ave., Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 5-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
