Steven L. Verdecchia, 73 of Johnston passed away on Friday November 17, 2023, with his family by his side. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Michele and Ida (Velletri) Verdecchia. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Pupella) Verdecchia.
Besides his wife he is survived by his devoted daughters Kristin Verdecchia and Kerri Verdecchia. He was the loving grandfather of Marena Davenport and Ryan Ellinwood. He was the loving brother of Arlene Pilozzi, and loving brother-in-law of Elvira Verdecchia, and Deborah Verdecchia. He was predeceased by his brothers John Verdecchia, Michael Verdecchia, Robert Verdecchia, and brother-in-law John Pilozzi. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and many lifetime friends. He was also predeceased by his beloved Ruby and Pria.
He was a realtor working many years for REMAX. Steven had a personality that was larger than life and was always the life of the party. He kept everyone laughing with his quick wit and crazy sense of humor. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. Family was the center of his life, with his daughters and grandchildren being the most important part.
VISITING HOURS will be held Sunday November 26, 2023 from 4:00 -7:00 PM at NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday November 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Bartholomew’s Church, 297 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence. Burial will be immediately following at St. Ann ‘s Cemetery.
