Steven "Chic" Callahan

68, of West Warwick, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Deborah A. (Henry) Callahan. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Carmella (Travisano) Callahan. 

Steven was a graduate of Cranston High School East in 1974. During his time there he was a member of the football team that brought the school their first ever State Championship in 1972. He was a Cranston Fire Fighter for over 30 years, retiring as Captain in 2011. Steven was President Emeritus of the D’Abormida Club in Warwick. He was also an avid golfer and softball player. 

Steven is also survived by his loving children, Steven H. Callahan of Cranston and Kerri L. Callahan of Johnston, as well as his loyal dog Davis. He was the dear brother of John Callahan of Winchendon, MA, Glenn Callahan of Fitchburg, MA, Deborah Lemay and her husband Normand of Cranston, and Patricia Giarrusso and her husband Louis of Cranston. He was the brother-in-law of William Henry and his wife Susan, and the late Beverly Callahan. 

Visiting hours will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Burial will be private.
