Following a long and wonderful life, Stella Tria, 90, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2020. She was the beloved wife of 48 years to Frank Tria. She was the daughter of the late Victoria and Domenic Vannelli and sister to Caroline Norato (Dick) and brother Michael Vannelli (Carol). Stella was the loving mother to Donna George Fiore and her husband Jim and Linda George Faber and her husband Billy. She was also the very proud grandmother to Jaimie Fiore Wilson, her husband Aaron and Brittany Faber. She was the great-grandmother to Mason Faber and great-grandson, baby Wilson, yet to be born. Stella had two stepdaughters, Gina Conde (Donnie) and Karen Donahue (Paul). 5 step-grandchildren, Charissa, Donnie, Joey, Troy and Brandon and 7 step-great grandchildren.
Stella loved and dedicated her life to her family. She was an energetic, hard-working women who owned and operated her own hairdressing salon. The China Doll in Johnston for well over 30 years. She was known not only for her talent in making women look beautiful, but also for her unconditional compassion, kindness, generosity and love for her family and friends. She always enjoyed time spent with her family on Sundays at Nani’s house for pasta and pizza or holidays and special occasions. She loved to travel and enjoyed many memorable years at her timeshare in Sanibel Island, FL.
Friends and family are invited to attend Stella’s funeral on Monday, March 9th, from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston at 10:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Visiting Hours: Monday 9:00-10:00 am. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stella’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online www.stjude.org, or to Hope Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 N, Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
