Stasia M. (Stenpek) Peterson, 84, of Hoxsie Ave., Warwick passed away Sunday May 4, 2008 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. She was the wife of Ralph Peterson. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Aniela (Mokszycka) Stenpek. Mrs. Peterson worked for the State of RI., Department of Employment Security for many years before retiring. Stasia had a beautiful voice and sang in operettas during her school years. It was during this time that she was awarded the Anthony Medal for academic excellence, one of her proudest achievements. She had a great sense of humor. Devoted to her family, she would always give her support to them in a time of need. She will be sadly missed. Besides her husband she is survived by her children Glenn Peterson and his wife Linda of Kenmore, Washington, Lynn Peterson of Warwick, Jan Rothstein and her husband Larry of Wakefield, Lee Kiernan and her husband Mike of North Kingstown, her grandchildren, Laura, Michael, Alexandra, Jeffrey, Christopher and Elizabeth, and a brother, John Stenpek of West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by interment in Quidnessett Memorial Park, North Kingstown.
