Souad S. (Azrak) Tashian

of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Karabet Tashian.  Born in Hasakah, Syria, she was the daughter of the late Sami and Gazeli (Sayeed) Azrak.

Souad was a member of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, ARS-Arax Chapter, and a strong supporter of Homenetmen and other Armenian organizations.

She was the devoted mother of Dikran Tashian and his wife Margaret, Freij Tashian and his wife Azadek, and Anoush Taraksian and her husband Harout.

She was the cherished grandmother of eight and dear sister of Elias, Anis, Zouhir, Layla, Selwa, Sowsan and Fedwa Azrak and the late Aboud, Josephine and Fram Azrak.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 24th at 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence (Seating will be limited, social distancing and masks required).  Burial at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence will be private.
