Silvana Barone

Silvana passed away with cancer on October 8, 2024 at home surrounded by her beloved brothers after a very long battle.

Silvana was born in Argentina and came to Rhode Island in October 1980 with her family. She finished her studies here and worked for People's Bank and MetLife insurance for over 20 years.

She was the daughter of the late Pietro Barone and Rosina (Mastroianni) Barone. She also leaves two wonderful brothers, Antonio (Sonia) Barone of Italy and Franco (Carmela) Barone of Cranston. Her two dear cousins Luis and Maria lonkoff. Her adorable furry baby Angel and a few nephews and nieces.

As she requested there will not be visiting hours, but relatives and friends are invited to the burial on Friday, October 11th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ann Cemetery Mausoleum, Cranston, to which relatives and friends may meet outside the gates of the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to: American Cancer Society for research. Silvana was a volunteer at ACS of Rhode Island. The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff of Harmony Hospice for their special care.
