Shirley A, (Williams) Galvin

81, of Cranston, passed away at home on Friday, March 6, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Paul K. Galvin. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Irene (Connolly) Williams.

Shirley worked as a collection specialist for Speidel Manufacturing for over 25 years before retiring. She loved flowers and gardening. She also cared deeply for her puppies, especially her late dog Maxwell Walter.

Besides her husband Paul, she is survived by her loving children, Dianne M. Broxson and her husband Chris of Cranston, Lynne M. MacRae and her husband Frank of Groton, CT, and the late John R. DeSpirito and Joseph DeSpirito, Jr.; cherished grandchildren, Frankie, Jennifer, Melanie, Joseph and Christopher; eleven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mildred Fitzgerald and Roger Williams. Shirley is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday at 11:00 am. VISITING HOURS will precede the service from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
