SHIRLEY (PALUMBO) CARBONE, 64, of Simmonsville Ave., Johnston passed away Saturday June 20, 2009 at RI Hospital in Providence.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Philomena (Baretta) Palumbo. Shirley worked for North Safety Corporation for many years, before retiring.
She was the mother of Doreen Gervelis and Joanne Carbone; grandmother of Alexandria Gervelis; and sister of Salvatore Palumbo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church Oaklawn Ave., Cranston, followed by committal prayers in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITING HOURS and flowers are respectfully omitted.
