SARKIS MOVSESIAN, 81, of Juniper Drive, Cranston, passed away Sunday June 7, 2009 at home. He was the beloved husband for 49 years of Nora (Asadoorian) Movsesian. Born in Cairo, Egypt, a son of the late Haroutun and Armenouhi (Ayloglanian) Movsesian, he moved to Russia in 1948 and came to the U.S. in 1972.
Sarkis was a quality control technician and worked for United Product Corporation in Providence for 18 years until the company relocated to England, and later worked at Circuit City in Garden City, Cranston, retiring in 1995. Besides his wife, he was the loving and devoted father of the late Marina Movsesian and dear brother of Alice Karibian of North Providence and the late Zohrab and Abraham Movsessian. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
