Sang Henglatsamy

Sang Henglatsamy, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, in Providence, RI, surrounded by her cherished family. She was born on December 16, 1952, in Laos, and her warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

Sang dedicated many years to her esteemed career as a machine operator in the jewelry industry. Her exceptional work ethic and commitment to her craft were reflective of the nurturing spirit she embodied throughout her life. Sang’s greatest pride was her family, and she poured her heart and soul into each relationship she nurtured.

Known for her friendly demeanor and positive outlook on life, Sang had a unique ability to make strangers feel at ease. Her caring nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she was always ensuring others were well-fed and cared for. Though she possessed a gentle strength, Sang embraced life with an upbeat attitude that was infectious to those around her.

Her hobbies included knitting and sewing, where she poured her creativity into handmade gifts for her loved ones. She also found joy in tending to her flower garden and relished the simple pleasures of shopping trips.

Sang is survived by her devoted husband, Souriya Henglatsamy; her loving son, Bush Ricky Henglatsamy; her cherished sister, Pat Vayapheth; her brother, Boriboun Hengrasamy; and her adorable grandson, Hunter Reed. Though her daughter, Bearee Henglatsamy; her mother, Kham Hengrasamy; and her father, John Hengrasamy, have preceded her in death, they remain forever in the hearts of those who carry her legacy.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation service at Nardolillo Funeral Home, located at 1278 Park Ave in Cranston, RI, on April 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A  Buddhist prayer service will be held the following morning, April 13, 2025, from 7:00- 9:00 AM.

Sang Henglatsamy will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will live on in the memories of her loved ones and the countless lives she touched with her love and warmth.
