Sandra (Staller) Nathanson

August 13, 1933 — December 28, 2020

Sandra (Staller) Nathanson

87, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020 surrounded by her loving daughters.

Born in California, she was the daughter of Morris and Florence (Kaplowitz) Staller.

Sandra was predeceased by Abraham Nathanson, her former spouse and lifelong friend.

For twenty years, Sandra was Trinity Repertory Company’s prop manager and set decorator.  Her ability to flesh out the lives of each play’s characters through her artistic sensibility and attention to detail made her an integral member of the Trinity family.

After retiring from Trinity she opened an antique store ‘The Lady Next Door’ in Warren, RI.

For 37 years she proudly and passionately operated the shop, offering treasures and conversation to all who visited.

In addition, Sandy was part of the family that created Bananagrams, and was proud to have helped design the iconic banana pouch.

She leaves three daughters, Brenda Moore and her husband William of Pittsboro, NC, Dana Nathanson Iacono and her husband Vincent of East Providence, and Rena Nathanson of London, England; and four grandchildren, Zachary and Spencer Moore, Aaron and Ava Haggas.

The family would like to thank all at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center for their care and support.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Repertory Company, 201 Washington Street, Providence, RI 02903 www.trinityrep.com/give.
