SAMUEL "SIE" FIYOD
76, of Joseph St., Providence passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010 at R.I. Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Araxy "Roxy" (Asadoorian) Fiyod. He was a lifelong resident of Providence and son of the late Joseph and Karime (Khouri) Fiyod. He was the owner and operator of Samuel J. Polishing Co., Providence until his retirement. Sie will be remembered by his many relatives and friends as a loving, caring, gentle man. He was an avid bowler and Red Sox Fan and a member of the Tuscan Club and Young Imperial Club both in Providence. He was a communicant of St. George Maronite Church. Beside his wife he is survived by his children, Joseph Fiyod and his wife Tammy of Providence, Valerie Salvatore and her husband Bobby of No. Providence and David Loffredo and his wife Dawn of Lincoln. Sie is also survived by his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was the brother of Silvia Magnelli of Riverside, Barbara Smith of Warren, Michael Fiyod of No. Providence, Kenneth Fiyod of Riverside, Joseph Fiyod and the late Solomon and Esther Fiyod. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raymond's Church, 1240 No. Main St., Providence at 11am. Visiting hours Friday 5-8pm. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
