Salvatore Monti

79, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Marie ( Spolidoro) Monti.

He was born in Providence, a son of the late Nicola and Annina ( Manzi) Monti.

Salvatore worked at many car dealerships throughout Rhode Island as an Auto Technician until his retirement.  He also served in the US Coast Guard.  Sal was well known for his keen automotive skills and culinary flair.  He was truly a caring man, and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

Besides his beloved wife Marie, he is survived by his loving son:  Michael Monti and his wife Melissa and their son Brandon and his loving daughter: Julie Monti ; and his dear brother: Anthony Monti and his wife Rose and many loving nieces and nephews.He was the beloved Brother in law of Nick and Liz Spolidoro.

He was the brother of the late : Cosmo,(Catherine) John,(Eleanor) Joe,(Alice) Rose Carbone, (Lee) and Mary Arena.

He will meet his fur babies Guido, Sasha and Cindy who are waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge.

His funeral will be on Thursday morning at 10am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston.  Burial with military honors will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.

VISITING HOURS: Wednesday evening 4-7 pm.
