Salvatore Faiola

October 19, 1928 — April 21, 2023

Salvatore Faiola

94, of Johnston, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born in Pastena, Italy, he was the son of the late Luigi and Maria Nicola Faiola. Salvatore enjoyed a career as a member of the prestigious Polizia di Stato (State Police) in Rome. He then immigrated to America and met his sweetheart, the late Olga (Conti) Faiola, and was blessed with a loving family and shared a beautiful union with his darling wife for 61 years.

Salvatore worked as a machine operator for General Electric for more than 20 years before retiring. During his retirement, he and Olga treasured spending winters at their Florida home in Jupiter where their love continued to flourish. Besides his passion for gardening and playing cards, Salvatore was an avid bocce player. However, above all, he relished his time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his adoring children, Sandra D’Amico and her husband Michael of North Scituate, Steven Faiola of Johnston, and the late MaryAnn Faiola; cherished grandchildren, Nina De Martino, Michael De Martino, Nicholas De Martino, Jason D'Amico and Joseph D'Amico. He was the brother of the late Mafalda Faiola, Teresina Faiola and Antonietta Faiola.
