SALVATORE CIACCIARELLI

74, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at home, after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of forty-nine years to Rosa (Carnevale) Ciacciarelli. Born in Castelnuovo, Parano, Italy, he was a son of the late Natale and Pia (Santa Maria) Ciacciarelli. Salvatore was a construction worker for the A.F. Lusi Construction Company of Smithfield for twenty-four years before retiring in 2000. Sal was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed gardening, and spending time with his grandsons. Besides his wife he is survived by his devoted daughters Anna Picard and her husband Robert of Sarasota, FL, Francine Caliri and her husband Joseph of Cranston, and Susan Mason and her husband Stephen of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Griffin Mason, Nicholas Mason, and Giacomo Caliri. Salvatore was the brother of Lucio Ciacciarelli of Cranston, and Carmine Ciacciarelli of Warwick. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday morning 8:30-10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of RI, 260 West Exchange Street, Suite 102B, Providence, RI 02903.
