94, a resident of Bellingham, MA for sixty years passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Salvatore, Sr. and Rose (Bianco) Calore.
A proud US Army Veteran, he served during the Korean Conflict.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Providence College and an MBA from Bryant College in his 60’s.
Mr. Calore worked as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service for forty years before retiring.
Sal loved music and dancing. He enjoyed golfing and playing Quoits; and traveling. He was a member of the Italian Workman’s Club in Woonsocket and the Knights of Columbus Franklin Council.
He was one of the oldest living members of the Providence College Alumni Association.
He leaves three children, Dolores Williams and her husband Joey of NC, Theresa Corey and her husband Daniel of NH and Edward Calore and his wife Donna of Woonsocket; a brother Ernest Calore of Warwick; five grandchildren, Edward Calore, Jr., Anthony Calore, Thomas Patton, Jr., Daniel Patton and Lindsay Williams; and eight great-grandchildren, Kaleb Calore, Dylan Calore, Luc Calore, Arabella Calore, Elena Calore, Kylie Conrad, Alaina Conrad, Jaxon Conrad and Keaton Rounds. He was the father of the late Ruth Calore; and brother of the late Louis Calore, Maria Jiacovelli and Joseph Calore.
His funeral will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION Friday morning from 9-10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Providence College Alumni Association, 1 Cunningham Square, Providence, RI 02908.
