SALVATORE D. "SAL" BARBATO
SALVATORE D. "SAL", BARBATO, 82, of Providence, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at Roger Williams Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy V. "Dottie" (Soave) Barbato.
Born in Putnam, CT, he was the son of the late Luigi and Victoria (Reali) Barbato. Mr. Barbato was a maintenance foreman at Atlas Chain Co. for many years, before retiring. He was a WW-II Army Veteran.
Besides his wife, he was the loving and devoted father of Anthony L. Barbato and brother of the Frank and Joseph Barbato, Mary Barone and Lucy Iacono.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Brayton Ave., Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday 4-8 p.m.
Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
