SADIE MARTINO
SADIE (FARIA) MARTINO, 87, of Rosemont Ave., Johnston, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the wife of John Martino.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Cabral) Faria. Mrs. Martino worked at the former General Electric for 15 years before retiring.
She was a member of the Johnston Seniors, Forand Senior Citizens of Johnston, and was Past President of Ladies Auxiliary Hose 3 Fire Station in Johnston.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Martha Colagiovanni and her husband Jerry of FL; two sons, Tom Martino of East Greenwich, and John M. Martino of Johnston; and one grandson, Brian Martino. She was the sister of the late Mary Camoes, Philomena Barbosa, Rose Mederios, Hilda Ursillo, and Joseph, Manuel, John, Joaquin, William and Frank Faria. She was the sister-in-law of Domenic and Irene Martino of Fl, and Theresa Faria of East Providence.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME,1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
