Russell W. Arlia 80, of Poplar Drive, Cranston, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at home. He was the husband of Jasmen (Johnson) Arlia. They were married for three years. Russell was the former husband of Patricia Kaloustian of North Providence. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Matteo and Lena (Osso) Arlia. Mr. Arlia was the owner of the former R. Arlia and Sons Disposal Service of Cranston for twenty-five years before retiring in 1983. He was a member of Doric Lodge, F&AM, Cranston and served in the RI National Guard. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Paul W. Arlia and his wife Paula, Decoda Arlia and Christina Arlia, all of Cranston. Mr. Arlia was the grandfather of Kelly Arlia of West Warwick. He was the father of the late Russell M. Arlia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, Elmwood Avenue, Cranston and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday 4-8 p.m. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
