RUDOLPH R. LA CHAPELLE

89, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. Rudolph was the husband of Viola (Tella) LaChapelle of 66 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Stanley and Flora (Meunier) LaChapelle. Mr. LaChapelle was a bricklayer for the Union Local #1 for 38 years before retiring in 1988. Rudolph was a member of International Catholic, Deaf Association, Deaf Seniors of New England and held numerous positions in the RI Chapter #57.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Marie Accetturo and her husband Michael of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Anna Accetturo and her husband Joseph of Johnston, RI and John LaChapelle and his companion Lori Esposito of Johnston, RI. Mr. LaChapelle was the grandfather of David, Joseph and Brad Accetturo, Micaela LaChapelle and the late Michael Accetturo. He was also the great grandfather of Brianna, Madison, Isabella and Mia. Rudolph was the brother of Estelle Van Tassell of Boyton Beach, FL and the late Helen Bader, William LaChapelle, Flora LaChapelle and Blanch "Peachy" Marcil.

Funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, Johnston. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
