Rose C. (Lonardo) Trabucco

91, of Providence, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 71 years to George Trabucco. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Carmela (Camelio) Lonardo.

Our mom was a devoted wife, loving & caring mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was gentle & kind, yet firm & fair.

She worked at our uncle Vin’s jewelry shop for many years, but job did not end there. Her favorite job was caring for her family. She loved our large family gatherings where she would proudly look at our dad and say, “look what we started.” Mom loved to play cards. A family gathering wasn’t complete without a friendly game of Hi-lo-jack. She also loved to go to the casino & race track...yes mom liked an occasional day or night of gambling! One could say, we hit the jackpot when it came to mom’s!
Our mom will be truly missed but always remembered for the strong woman she was and how much love she had for everyone. Love you mom!

Besides her husband she is survived by her loving children Steven Trabucco and his wife Sandy, David Trabucco and his wife Deirdre , Camille Halsall and her husband Robert and Ro Miller ; her grandchildren and their spouses : Tracey (Andy), Alicia(Bob) , Glen (Jeff ), Sara(Greg), David, Steven(Stephanie), Matthew (Jennifer), Christopher (Megan), Kayla , James (Diana), Aaron(Iris), Jonathan , Leah, and Michael ; her greatgrandchildren Tyler, Haley, Sebastian, Julia, Brendan, Victoria, Andrew, Jordan, Benjamin, Domenic, Rachael, James, Ronan, Mason, Morgan, Stella, Quinn and Olivia. She was also the sister of the late Carmela Dionne, Frank Lonardo, Michael Lonardo, Helen DiBenedetto, Laura Marocco, Sue Gabriele, Luigi Lonardo and Victoria Deforge.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11 am in Holy Cross Church, Providence. The family will be having a recieving line at the Church from 10:30 to 11am. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to: Alzheimers Association.
