ROSE (PALUMBO) MORETTI
Rose (Palumbo) Moretti, 82, of Phenix Ave., Cranston passed away peacefully at home on Monday surrounded by her loved ones. She was the beloved wife of Angelo Moretti for the past 60 years. She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Pietro and Felicia (Grossi) Palumbo and she had resided in Cranston for the past 52 years. Mrs. Moretti had been employed by T.D. Brown in Cranston. Besides her husband she is survived by her children; Sandra Mattia-Weinzierl and her husband Doug Weinzierl of Lincoln and Robert Moretti and his wife Lorna Fossa-Moretti of Smithfield. She was the grandmother of Lisa Mattia-Adams, Kenneth Mattia, Briana and Brandon Moretti, and was the great grandmother of Alyssa Rose Adams and Christopher Adams. She was the sister of Sue Asciolla-Spaziano of Cranston and the late Amelia DeStefanis, Ann Wisher, Angelo and Mary Palumbo. She was a communicant of St. Bartholomew's Church. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew's Church, Providence at 10am. VISITING HOURS THURSDAY 4-8pm. Entombment will take place in St. Joseph's Mausoleum in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Bartholomew's Church Memorial Fund, 297 Laurel Hill Ave., Prov., RI 02909 or to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd., East Prov., RI 02914.
