ROSE L. (LINARDO) FONTES

Rose L. (Linardo) Fontes, 85, of Johnston passed away peacefully Monday July 28, 2008 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Fontes, Sr. They were married for 41 years. Born in Kew Gardens, New York she was the daughter of the late Francis V. and Mary (Tarantino) Linardo. Mrs. Linardo was a seamstress in New York for twelve years and she was also a homemaker caring for her family. She was a member of St. Rocco's Church Johnston. She is survived by her children Joseph Robert Fontes, Jr. of Johnston with whom she lived, MaryJean Sisti of Osprey, FL and Francis Paul Fontes of Cranston, her grandchildren Matthew John Sisti, Michael Joseph Sisti and Michelle Rose Sisti, a sister Marie Ruthelonis of Queens, New York and a brother Francis Linardo of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was the sister of the late Paul Linardo, Michael Linardo and Eugenia Linardo. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church Johnston at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
