98, of Cranston passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015, peacefully at home. Rose was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Cimino. They were childhood sweethearts whose marriage of 67 years was one of respect and understanding, devotion to family, and their mutual dreams for their children. Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Defusco) Barone. Mrs. Cimino lived her life with quiet dignity and a love of beauty, learning and family. She was a gentle and sweet soul who will be missed and remembered by all who loved her.
Rose is survived by her loving children Joseph P. Cimino of Boston and Deborah J. Cimino of Cranston, and is predeceased by her loving daughter Beverly Montaquila and son-in-law John. She was the grandmother of six and great grandmother of eight. Rose was the sister of the late Lillian Mancini, Dorothy Iannelli, Anna Macera, Domenic, Peter, and Alfred Barone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Inurnment will take place at Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, 2600 Virginia Avenue NW, Suite 1100, Washington, DC 20037 or www.preservationnation.org.
