Rosaria "Grandma Rose" (Testa) Branca 102, of Yeoman Avenue, Cranston, died Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Morgan Health Center, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Mauro Branca. Born in Prata Sanita, Italy she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Maria (Russo) Testa. Mrs. Branca was a machine operator in the textile industry for many years until her retirement. She was a past member of the Santa Maria de Prata Society. Rosaria was the loving mother of Albert R. Branca and his wife Gerry of Cranston and the late Frank and Anthony Branca. She was the mother-in-law of Lila Branca of Cranston. Mrs. Branca was the cherished grandmother of Frank Branca, Dianna Pereira, Anthony Branca, Michael Branca, Leslie Simonelli, Christian Branca and the great-grandmother of fourteen. Rosaria was the sister of the late Teresa Hall and Michael Testa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
