ROSALIE (CATANZARO) MONTECALVO

84, of North Scituate, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of fifty-nine years to Alexander D. Montecalvo. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Giacamo and Bernarda (Giglio) Catanzaro. Rosalie was a self-employed figure skating instructor for fifty-five years before retiring in 2011. She was a professional ice skater with the Hollywood Ice Review, touring thirty-four states and Canada. Rosalie enjoyed gardening and her pets. She was known by all as a most kind and caring person.

Besides her husband she is survived by her loving children, Jewell L. Augustine and her husband Joseph, Gregory A. Montecalvo and his wife Sharon, Jason M. Montecalvo and his wife Lisa, all of North Scituate. Rosalie was the cherished grandmother of Aaron, Jaclyn, Derek, Jon, Bianca, Jade, and Alexandra. She was the sister of Josephine Papitto of San Diego, CA, and the late Pete Zacchino, Santa Quatrucci, Bart Catanzaro, Margaret Bishop, and Anna Alexander.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Danielson Pike, Corner Rte. 116, and North Scituate. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 5-8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
