Ronald “Ronnie” J. Carchia

67, of Johnston, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, July 21, 2022.  He was the lifelong partner of Jaquie Verduzco for 35 years.  Born in Providence, he was the son of John Carchia and the late Betty (Zanfagna) Carchia.

He is also survived by his sisters Nancy Roberts, her husband James, Sandra Metcalfe, her husband David, 3 nieces, 4 great nieces and 4 great nephews.

Ronnie was an accomplished motorcycle designer and builder who loved riding.He was also a member of the Massachusetts model car club where he won several awards for his custom built models.He was also published in National model magazines displaying his work.He had many interest, including cooking ,gardening and anything outdoors.He loved his family and his cats. Ronnie was a free spirit with a great sense of humor,who loved doing things his own way.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday July 29th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston.  Burial will be private.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
