RONALD G. "THE JOCKEY' PLANTE
80, passed away Monday January 23, 2012 in Palm City, FL. He was the son of the late Godfroi and Flora (Brillon) Plante.
He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was employed in retail sales and previously at Electric Boat.
Ronald is survived by a sister Yvette Mueller of Pawtucket; a brother Bernard Plante of Lincoln and was a brother of the late Claire Davignon, Theresa, Claire and Gilbert Plante.
He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and godchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10am in the Church of the Presentation, North Providence. Burial, with military honors, will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Lung of RI 260 West Exchange St. Suite 1023 Providence, RI 02903.
