Ronald F. Martinelli

Ronald F. “Ron” Martinelli, 74 of Cranston passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024, with his family by his side. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Americo and Gilda (Lautieri) Martinelli. He was the devoted husband of Joyce (Santosuosso) Martinelli.

Ron proudly served his county in the US Army. He was the owner and operator of Advanced Collision Estimating for over 40 years. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles. His prized possession was his 1969 Camaro. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson alongside his close group of friends. He was a member of the former New England Drag Team. Ron was a devoted father who enjoyed spending time with his two children. He was an active participant in his children’s various athletic activities including hockey, figure skating and baseball. The apple of his eye was without question his granddaughter, Melania. He was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of his second granddaughter, McKenzie.

Besides his wife Joyce, he is survived by his daughter Melissa Verdolotti, her husband Mike, and his son Michael Martinelli. He was the proud grandfather to Melania Verdolotti and McKenzie Verdolotti, arriving in July. He was the older brother of Janice Martinelli and Richard Martinelli.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, on Monday March 25, 2024, 9:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10:00 am at St. Rocco’s Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISTING HOURS will be held Sunday from 3:00- 6:00pm.
