ROMILDA (CARCIERI) PETRUCCI

Romilda (Carcieri) Petrucci 99, of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday July 22, 2009 at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Petrucci. Born in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Esperanza (Mazzarella) Carcieri. Mrs. Petrucci in her youth attended RISD, and throughout her life remained a gifted seamstress. She was a belly dancer for many charity events, and she and her late husband won many ballroom dance competitions. She was also a communicant of Holy Cross Church. Romilda is survived by her son Joseph Petrucci and his wife Diane of East Greenwich, her cherished grandchildren, Heidi Petrucci and Darryl Petrucci both of Johnston. She was the sister of Lucy Massemino of Providence. She was also the mother of the late Thomas Petrucci, and the sister of the late Olympia Massimino, Eugenia DeCubellis, Elsie Narducci, and Mario, Domenic, Joseph, Michael and Victor Carcieri. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 am in Holy Cross Church Hartford Ave., Providence.
