ROMEO D. "SPIKE" GALLO

ROMEO D. "SPIKE" GALLO, 83, of Uxbridge, MA and formerly of Providence, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at West Roxbury Veterans Hospital. He was the companion of the late Nevart Santucci.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Matteo and Teresa (Grille) Gallo. Romeo worked for 35 years at BIF Industries in Warwick before retiring.
He was a Navy Veteran serving in World War II being honorably discharged in 1947. Romeo then joined the U.S. Army where he again was honorably discharged after serving in the Korean War in 1954.
He leaves three sisters, Margaret McKenna of Warwick, Helen Squadrito of Greenville, and Trieste Andrews of Southington, CT; one brother, Timothy Gallo of Las Vegas, Nevada; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Cicerchia, Amelia Croteau and Marco Gallo.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Ghost Church, 429 Atwells Ave., Providence at 10:00 a.m.
Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
VISITING HOURS TUESDAY MORNING 8:15 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
