ROLAND W. SHARPE, SR

63, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of forty-one years to Shirley A. (Harris) Sharpe. Born in Cranston, he was a son of Gail (Nolan) Sharpe of North Providence and the late William Sharpe. Roland was a manager in the shipping and receiving department at Daniele Prosciutto, Inc. before retiring due to illness in 1998.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children Pam Sharpe of Cranston, and Roland W. Sharpe, Jr. and his wife Sherri of Johnston. He was the cherished grandfather of Kayla O'Brien, Natalina and Andre Sharpe. Roland was the brother of Valerie Lussier of Virginia, John Sharpe of Pawtucket and the late Bob Sharpe.
