Rocco Petrozzi 86, of Cranston passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rose (Valente) Petrozzi. They were happily married for over sixty years. He was born in Providence, a son of Italian immigrants, the late Francesco and Lucia (Santostefano) Petrozzi. Mr. Petrozzi served his country in WW II as an Army MP. Later he worked at Ciba-Geigy for 25 years. He also worked as a business consultant for Tilt Truck Transporting for the next 20 years. Rocco was an avid New York Giants and Yankees Fan, and his life's love was his dedication to his family. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Lucille Parrillo and her husband Dennis of Johnston, Daniel Petrozzi of Cranston, Frank Petrozzi and his wife Deborah of Johnston, Stephen Petrozzi, Sr. and his wife Laura of Scituate. He was also the cherished grandfather of Michael, Lauren, Stephen Jr. and Nicholas Petrozzi, and brother of the late Antonetta L'Europa, Vincent Petrozzi and Viola DeCesare. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Ave. Johnston.
