Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph F. Celletti, Sr and Mary (Amaral) Celletti. He is survived by his Companion Nancy Sylvia, his son Rocco M. Celletti, Jr.,of Warwick, his daughter, Cheryl L. Chmura of Cranston, and two sisters, Theresa P.J. Wahl of East Providence and Patricia A. Smith of Texas and two grandchildren, Ryan M. Chmura and Aaron L. Chmura of Cranston. He was the brother of the late Joseph F. Celletti, Jr., Diana Abbott and Maria C. Celletti. Rocco leaves a large, loving family and is also survived by many nieces and nephews who reside throughout Rhode Island.
Rocco "Mickey" Celletti was a boxer, (known for his killer instinct) and earned the New England Golden Gloves Championship in 1968. He was an avid Harley Davidson biker, who often organized and participated in bike runs to raise money for anyone in need and also for the Make A Wish foundation. Rocco also loved Nascar racing and traveled throughout the United States to watch and support racers. He also sponsored a variety of race cars at the Seekonk and Thompson Speedways.
In his work career, he was an entrepreneur and was an Operating Engineer through Local 57. He founded two construction companies, Rocco Celletti Excavating, Inc. of Warwick which he operated for 25 years and Eagle Eye Construction of East Providence which he operated for the last eight years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, 9 Garden Ct., Cranston, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Ann's Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
