ROCCO D. 'ROCKY' CARDILLO

83, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2013 at home in Cranston surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Cecelia A. "Peachy" (Piccoli) Cardillo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony and Margaret (Bruno) Cardillo. Rocco was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for a combined 60 years, until his retirement. Mr. Cardillo used to race stock cars, was an avid NASCAR fan, loved visiting the coffee shop and will be missed by many friends. He is survived by his children Marguerite DiVona and her husband Stephen and Linda Marocco and her husband Steven, all of Cranston. Rocco was the brother of Anthony Cardillo and the late Anna Cardillo. He was the devoted grandfather of Nicole Buco and Matthew and Mark Marocco. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
