ROBERT JOHN "BOB" SHAPPY, SR

Robert John "Bob" Shappy, Sr. 66, of Central Avenue, Johnston, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at home. He was the husband of three years of Louise B. (Martin) Shappy Born in Providence, he was a son of Lucy (Vallarine) Shappy of Warwick and the late Raymond L. Shappy. Mr. Shappy was a draftsman and designer for Electric Boat for eight years. He was a master craftsman and enjoyed playing the accordion. Besides his mother and wife he is survived by his children Laurie A. Laurence of Barrington, Linda S. Young of Foster and Robert J. Shappy, Jr. of Wyoming, RI. He was the grandfather of Danielle and Sarah Cataldo and Erin and Roselyn Young. Bob was the brother of Raymond A. Shapp of Wachung, NJ, Richard V. Shappy of Warwick and the late Ronald L. Shappy. His funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
