54, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday August 25, 2012 in Crystal Springs, FL. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Clement A. Place and Jean (Bishop) Place. He was an auto mechanic in both RI and FL for many years. He leaves a sister, Deborah A. Petrozzi of Johnston, two brothers; David A. Place of Wellesley, MA and William F. Place of South Kingston, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Michael H. Place. Bob will be remembered for his fine sense of humor, quick wit and generous heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His funeral will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, 549 Plainfield Street, Providence at 11 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. Visiting hours are Friday Morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
