84, of Cranston died Monday April 28, 2008 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. He was the devoted husband of Madeline A. (Saccoccio) Montaquila for 48 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Porcelli) Montaquila. Mr. Montaquila worked for the Warwick School System retiring as an Assistant Principal at Pilgrim High School in 1985. He was a WW-II Army Veteran, a graduate of Bryant College and Boston University and was devoted to his family. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Kathryn A. Campagnone and her husband James of Cranston, Geralyn M. Razza and her husband Peppy of North Kingstown, Robert A. Montaquila and his wife Sherry of Johnston and Dr. Stephen M. Montaquila and his wife Manuela of Cranston. Grandfather of Alyssa, Jimmy and Nikolas. He was the brother of Elvira Montaquila of Providence and the late Josephine, Gaetano and Anthony Montaquila. His funeral will be on Saturday at 10:30am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 11:30am. VISITING HOURS Saturday morning 9 - 10:30am. Entombment, with military honors, will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
